Terms of Service
Effective 3 Sep 2026 · Beta product
These terms govern your use of the CoveDesk beta. It is a working, limited product — by using it you agree to these terms. Please read them.
The service
CoveDesk is a small-business asset and operations tracking product. It helps you keep records of assets, warranties, documents, subscriptions and maintenance, and sends reminder digests before things lapse. It is provided during a private beta on a self-serve basis.
Beta status
The product is in private beta. It is real software, but it may change significantly and may be updated, restricted, or discontinued. We aim to grow it with the people who use it, so features and priorities may shift based on feedback.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to use the service. You agree not to misuse it: no unlawful content, no attempting to access another company’s data, no scraping or abuse, and no impersonation.
Your account and responsibilities
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. You are responsible for the records you enter and for ensuring you have the right to provide them. If you are part of a company workspace, the company’s owner/admin controls access and roles, and you are responsible for your own use within it.
Your data
The business records you enter are yours. You can view, export, and delete them from your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile and the data of any company you alone own.
Service and intellectual property
During the beta we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business. The service itself, its design, and its software are ours, and we retain all intellectual property rights in them. This does not affect your ownership of the data you enter.
No warranty; beta limitations
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” during the beta, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that reminders will never be missed, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the service (which, during the beta, is nothing).
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe the terms have been breached, or where the beta is wound down.
Third-party services
The service depends on third parties we use to operate it — including Supabase for data and storage, Resend for email, and Vercel for hosting. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes
We may change the service or these terms as the product develops. We will update the version and date above when the terms change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If you have any questions about these terms, contact us at contact@covedesk.app.
