Privacy Policy

CoveDesk operates this website and the beta product. We are the data controller for the information you provide to us. For any privacy request, contact us at contact@covedesk.app.

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name and email address, and record that you agreed to this policy and the version you agreed to.

Company information. We store the name you give your company or team, and your company’s timezone.

Business records. You enter records about your business assets, warranties, documents, subscriptions and maintenance schedules — including any dates, costs and notes you add. These are the data the product exists to keep track of.

Reminder activity. To send your reminder digests and avoid duplicates we record which records have been included in a delivered digest. We also keep a record of significant actions taken in the product (audit logs) so your team has an accurate history.

We use your information to operate the product: to keep your data in one place, to send the reminder digests you configure, and to keep your account secure. We do not use your information for marketing email, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

To run the product we rely on a small number of trusted service providers:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for your business documents.
• Resend — delivery of your reminder digests and invitation emails.
• Vercel — hosting and running the application.

These providers process data on our behalf in the course of delivering the service. Data may be processed on infrastructure located outside Singapore, including by the cloud providers above. We rely on their security and data-processing safeguards.

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile and the data of any company you are the only member of. Records you created in a company you belong to are retained by that company for its own use.

Soft-deleted records are hidden from your workspace immediately and scheduled for permanent removal as part of our housekeeping.

You can view and export a copy of the data we hold about you from your account page (including a JSON export), correct your details, and delete your account at any time. These actions are self-serve from the account page.

You may also contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Withdrawing consent to processing your account is exercised by deleting your account.

We use row-level security so that each company can only ever see its own data, and we transmit everything over HTTPS. Your password is managed by our authentication provider and is never stored in plaintext. We do not store card or payment details. These are reasonable measures for a beta product; we do not claim formal certification.

The product is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as the product develops. We will post the updated version here with a new version number and an updated date, and record the version you agreed to when you signed up.
